Brief
Moya Networks is a telecommunications, network infrastructure and internet solutions company. The brief was to create a logo and corporate identity for Moya Communications.
Concept
The word ‘Moya’ is a Zulu word which means ‘Air’ or ‘Wind’ Wind is the natural movement of air, in the form of a current of air blowing from a particular direction. The concept for the logo is the letter ‘M’ with a combination of a representation of air/wind. Considering that wind is not a stagnant form I had to find a way to represent the movement of air in a logo. For the logo icon I used the letter ‘M’ combined with a shape of a wave. The colour scheme chosen is a gradient between red and orange. I used a gradient as it is not just one colour but the transition of colours can represent movement as well.
